It’s common knowledge that Oatmeal is a great way to start your day, but let’s be honest…. the same thing of anything day after day can get pretty boring no matter how delicious it is.
I like to experiment with new additions to my base of oats and almond milk.
I have recently began adding local maple syrup 🍁 to my oatmeal rather than local honey and cinnamon.
They’re both delicious options, honestly, and I always try to buy local to support the businesses and for seasonal allergy benefits (local honey is a great way to help fight local allergies…. that’s for a different blog post 😆)
With today’s oatmeal, I wanted something more textured, so I decided to add one of the Orchard Valley Harvest packets of trail mix that I purchased from Marshall’s the other day. I AM SO HAPPY THAT I DID. It took it to another level of DELICIOUSNESS! I linked them on the picture below from Amazon, but they’re available in many places like Target, Walmart, and more!
Don’t be afraid to try new things. My best advice is to try to always use natural additions (sweeteners included), and push yourself out of your normal comfort zone to find new things that you like. Natural Peanut 🥜 Butter is another favorite of mine!
